It's a boy!

We went for the ultrasound yesterday, and the big news is we're having a boy! It took me the night to get used to the idea (I had really thought I'd have another girl), but I'm excited. Things looked fine, and I am scheduled to go for another ultrasound on December 18 to check growth and have an echocardiogram of the baby's heart.

Names being considered?

We are at a loss for boy names. Any suggestions?

Boys names are harder, imo. We have Brooks and Logan in the hopper for whenever we need them.

Although I sort of think Logan sounds more girlish than boy-ee.

We liked Logan awhile ago, but then I met a student named Logan that was sort've feminine, so it ruined that name for me. Actually, a lot of names have been ruined for me b/c of students.

I get that, too. With little kids I meet or know of and don't like. Or thinking of a name and then remembering a person I don't like that has that name.

I can certainly see how being a teacher puts you at an extreme disadvantage. I know I would practically hate or pick apart every single student I would teach. Glad I didn't get into that.

Maybe you should go with Barack?

Given Dan's tendency to be very pale, I think an ethnic name like that would be a bit "off".
